Local Food Celebration

Join us in September for a celebration of the farmers, chefs and producers who have continued Uxbridge’s longstanding history as an agricultural hub.

Whether you are taking a journey through the delicious beer and cider trail or attending a cooking event led by fabulous local chefs. This month’s Local Food Celebration will be something for everyone to enjoy.

Local Food and Beverage Trails

As Trail Capital of Canada, Uxbridge is not only known for over 200 kilometres of incredible trails, but also its lively après trail scene with gathering spots to enjoy locally crafted beer and cider, and menus prepared from the farms and producers right here in our community.  In the 1800’s Uxbridge was a farming community rich in wheat crops and small orchards and now, many years later, farms are still cultivating the land with some reviving this area’s history by growing hops and heritage apples to produce incredible beer and ciders.  Explore our local cider houses and brewery on the Beer and Cider Trail, find out where to pick-up farm-fresh foods at stops along the Farm Trail, and try local food options at stops along the Culinary Trail.
