Yesterday was a super special day.
I was fortunate to be a part of bookdrunkardfest event with Ashley Audrain in conversation with Sam Bailey! Not only are these two women amazing authors, they are also lovely in person. It was such a pleasure to meet you both!

On top of that, I got a chance to meet a follow #Bookstagrammer, lindsaysalwaysreading in person 🤗 We’ve been following each other for some time now and we have similar tastes in books, but meeting you, Lindsay was great. It feels like we can chat books forever! Hopefully we’ll get to do this again soon!

Title: The Road Years
Author: Rick Mercer
52 Book Club Prompt: 10 - Told in non-chronological order

The Road Years is Mercer's most recent memoir, covering his years on the road with the Rick Mercer Report, right where his last memoir left off. In this memoir, he covers a few funny stories, but also a lot of political drama - as is to be expected.

This book is hilarious. I found myself laughing out loud throughout (which I was very self-conscious of when I was reading in public). I also read some excerpts out loud when I felt the need - perhaps annoyingly - to read the funny bits to my family. If you love a funny Canadian memoir, this is the book for you! I've never been disappointed by a Rick Mercer book. He's a Canadian icon and we're lucky to have him!

I was also lucky enough to see him in-person as part of the Blue Heron Book Drunkard Festival, which is an experience I will never forget!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
