A Trail of Brilliant Lights, Festive Windows, and Holiday Cheer!

Uxbridge Holiday Trail

Enjoy Festive Windows, Sounds of the Season, “Tastings and Treats for a Toonie”, and a wave from Santa and Mrs. Claus, as you shop your way along the Uxbridge Holiday Trail.

Start your journey at Sugar FX in downtown Uxbridge where each shop window has been decorated to tell a Holiday story! Enjoy a special “Tasting or Treat” for a Toonie at many of the stops along the way. Stop at Low’s Furniture to hear live music through the glass or catch a wave from Santa and Mrs. Claus at H Bee Architecture.  Come early to enjoy a meal at one of our local eateries. After your visit downtown, drive through to the Fantasy of Lights or book tickets for a ride on the North Pole Light-up Express train ride.

Continue your journey through the charming, historic downtown along the Holiday Shopping Trail to see many of the boutique shop windows decked out with themes such as “What Would Christmas be Under the Sea” presented by Sugar FX, “A Canadian Family Christmas” presented by Presents Presents Presents, and “T’was the Night Before Christmas” presented by the Lemonade Stand. Grab a parking spot close by and take a stroll along Brock Street to browse the beautiful scenes, pick-up unique gifts,  and snap a selfie in front of the spectacular Holiday Display at Rutledge Jewellers .  Shop ahead online at many Uxbridge local businesses and coordinate your curb-side pick-up on your drive through. With the bright lit trees, the chime of the clock tower and the sounds of the season along the way, it is a great way to get outside to enjoy some festive family time.

To fuel up along the way, enjoy a feature lunch from  Fig Kitchen and Market, along with special holiday drinks and a mini-cookie for a toonie! Stop in at Wixan’s Bridge for lunch and a Santa photo from 11am-3pm Saturdays and Sundays. (Dec 4th-19th) Warm-up with a holiday cocktail at Navarra’s Eatery, pick-up an organic coffee and sugar cookie from the Bridge Social, make reservations for a festive meal at TIN Restaurant, pre-order a box of a dozen holiday cookies from Urban Pantry, or make it a full festive feast from one of the many local food establishments in the area.  If you prefer to indulge in a local brew, visit the Second Wedge Brewing Company   for a special 5 oz beer taster for a toonie, or stay-a-while to enjoy a selection of different brews with a full flight!

Enjoy this safe trail of festivities the family will love, and don’t forget to post photos along the way at #HolidayTrailUxbridge.
