A Trail of Brilliant Lights, Festive Windows, and Holiday Cheer!

‘Tis the Season and a great time to get into the holiday spirit with a magical journey through the Trail Capital of Canada.  Start with a drive through the Uxbridge Optimist Fantasy of Lights, a trail of brilliant holiday displays winding through Uxbridge’s Elgin Park.  The park is open every night from 6-9:30pm from December 5th-January 2nd.

Uxbridge Holiday Shopping Trail

Continue your journey through the charming, historic downtown along the Holiday Shopping Trail to see many of the boutique shop windows decked out with themes such as “Christmas in Candyland” presented by Sugar FX, “Home for Christmas” presented by Presents Presents Presents, and “Santa’s Workshop” presented by the Lemonade Stand. Grab a parking spot close by and take a stroll along Brock Street to browse the beautiful scenes, pick-up unique gifts,  and snap a selfie in front of the spectacular Santa’s sleigh at Rutledge Jewellers .  Shop ahead online at many Uxbridge local businesses and coordinate your curb-side pick-up on your drive through. With the white lit trees, the chime of the clock tower and the sounds of the season along the way, it is a safe way to get outside to enjoy some family time.

To fuel up along the way, order ahead to pick-up a warm drink and snack from the Bridge Social, an Italian-style pizza from TIN Restaurant, a box of holiday cookies from Urban Pantry, or make it a full take-out festive feast from one of the many local food establishments in the area.  If you prefer to indulge in a local brew, visit the Second Wedge Brewing Company to pick-up some of their seasonal Spice Factory beer to take home – a great way to help celebrate their 5th anniversary!

Enjoy this safe trail of festivities the family will love, and don’t forget to post photos along the way at #HolidayTrailUxbridge.

Please note: All locations along the Holiday Trail are Certified with the Safe Travels Stamp from the World Travel & Tourism Council.
