Leaskdale Loop Strawberry Field Day

The Leaskdale Loop is a self-guided driving tour of a variety of unique small businesses and destinations in the scenic countryside of the Leaskdale area, just north of Uxbridge Ontario and less than an hour from the GTA. All locations are just minutes apart.

The main feature of the “Strawberry Field Day” event is Tindall Farm & Market’s Strawberry Fields!:
Pick-Your-Own Strawberries: Chemical free, all baskets provided, no admittance fee, food safety certified, third generation family farm! Cash or e-transfer accepted. Their market building will also be open with a great stock of products by local artisans plus seasonal produce and of course Karyn’s own amazing baking and preserves.

You’ll also find some fantastic strawberry-lover products at some of our other Leaskdale Loop locations. Come have a Field Day cleaning up on these great finds!:

Rooster’s Fries: In addition to their amazing regular menu, Roosters will be serving Fresh Strawberry Funnel Fries.

The Home of Lucy Maud Montgomery: Anne had never had ice cream before arriving at Green Gables but her love of it was lasting. Learn about making strawberry ice cream the old-fashioned way! And even better, enjoy a taste of that delightful home-made ice-cream (pre-made for you) with Anne of Green Gables during your visit.

Nancy Newman Textiles: In the spirit of strawberry season, Nancy’s beautiful handmade offerings include small purses and accessories in a fun strawberry print in cork!

Banjo Cider – If great cider on a shady patio after picking berries wasn’t enough of draw, the relatively new-to-Banjo food experience of “The Irv” will make your visit amazing. Banjo Cider will also be offering a free strawberry-themed treat for kids, while supplies last. Please note that Banjo Cider opens at noon.

Concession 6 Studio: Here you’ll find, in addition to the usual products, some very cute hand-knit strawberry (and other berry) hats in limited quantities as well as strawberry (and Canada Day) themed red and white décor items and craftworks.

Greenmantle Pottery: What better for serving your freshly picked strawberries than a beautiful handcrafted ceramic dish! You’ll find a beautiful selection of serving dishes at Greenmantle Pottery.
